The atmosphere in the vicinity of the Cathedral has calmed after the violent events that erupted during the funeral prayers held for the martyrs of the al-Khusūs violence when a group of militias attacked Christians by throwing bricks and Molotov cocktails. The attacks caused dozens of injuries.

A number of Church officials have confirmed that they have videos illustrating how thugs from outside the Church attacked them. These videos will help in the investigations that are being conducted (Vivian Majdī, al-Tahrīr, Apr. 11, p. 4). Read original text in Arabic.
