According to the American The New York Times magazine, the Coptic Orthodox Churches in New York are experiencing a massive surge in numbers of Egyptian Copts. Although statistics on the exact numbers of Copts emigrating to the U.S. are hard to come by as immigration statistics do not record religion, yet the number of Egyptians granted asylum in the U.S. has doubled since 2011 Revolution, as has the number of Egyptian Copts attending the Orthodox churches of New York.
