The Coptic Orthodox Church has begun preparing for Easter celebrations amid concerns surrounding the invitation of government officials to attend the celebrations in the light of recent attacks upon the Church. Archbishop Sergius Sergius, Deputy of the Patriarchate for Administrative Affairs, said that the Church will invite the President, Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Shūrá Council as usual, whilst denying the occurrence of special measures.
