Days after the bombing of a service building annexed to the Coptic Church in the city of Misrata in Libya, Bishop Pachomius of Al-Beheira and surrounding cities, headed to Libya Tuesday, January 8, after the Coptic Christmas celebrations. His Grace will visit the Church of Misrata, which is under his auspices, and celebrate the Epiphany Mass with the flocks that had lost two of her members in the Church bomb attack on December 29.
On the other hand, Coptic Orthodox Bishop Mūsá of youth met with al-Wafd Party’s youth committees who had come to the Cathedral in ’Abāsīyyah to extend their Christmas greetings. During the meeting, Bishop Mūsá stressed that promoting dialogue and intensifying the mutual accord among all national forces are fundamentals to overcome the crises their homeland Egypt is going through.
In another context, Najīb Jūbrā’īl, head of the Egyptian Union of Human Rights Organization, announced establishing a new party called “Misr Baytunah” Party (Egypt our homeland), after it reached 15,000 (fifteen thousands) members.
In his statement, Jūbrā’īl said that the party will include all marginalized segments of the Egyptian society, such as the youth of January 25 Revolution, women, and Nubians.
