Coptic Orthodox Bishop Bishoy (Bishūy) of Damietta and Kafr El-Shaykh and former Secretary of the Holy Synod, said that the Coptic Orthodox Church is keen to communicate with the Church of Ethiopia to contribute to the solving of the Nile water problem. Bishop Bishoy added the Orthodox Church in Ethiopia will never hesitate to send their recommendations to the Ethiopian government about the Nile crisis. He also said that the Palestinian issue will only be solved if Al-Aqsa Mosque is returned to the Muslims but he said the idea that Jews are digging under the foundations of the mosque to destroy it in order to build a new temple is untrue (Ghāda Abd al-Hāfiz, al-Misrī al-Yawm, May 16, p. 7). Read original text in Arabic.
