On the other hand, al-Misrīyūn  reported different accounts for the incidents. For instance, it reported that thugs attacked eight Copts, took over their personal properties and assaulted some girls while visiting the Monastery. These Copts were heading to the Monastery to participate in the celebrations of the “Ascension Feast”.
