By February 8, 2011, many of the young protesters on the Tahrīr-Square were confronted with a big problem -they were running out of money. The National Association for Change attempted to cover the needs of the protesters as effectively as possible. Dr. 'Abd al-Jalīl sent a car to distribute blankets on the square, which was filled with tents at that time. Dr. al-Jalīl sent also about 13,000 pounds to the protesters in need; however they refused to take the money.

On the night of the February 9, 2011, the National Association for Change celebrated a mass for the anniversary of the forty martyrs of the Two Saints Church in the middle of the square.
