Banhā Criminal Court on July 7 postponed the trial against 33 (six of them are Christians) suspects in al-Khusūs sectarian incident to August 24.

Sharīf Muhammad Nabīl, the investigating officer, shocked attendees during the trial when he refused to answer the questions raised by the Christian suspects’ defense attorney. He claimed not to remember the names of Christians who triggered the incidents. He continued, saying, “I cannot remember,” which angered the judge who told him, “How can you not have information when you are the investigation officer of the case, this is a homicide and you can not remember?!”
