Dr. Andrea Zakī, deputy head of the Coptic Evangelical Church, stated that the Army needs the people’s support in these critical times, stressing that the Evangelical Church supports peaceful protests.
For his part, Bishop Yuhannā Qultah, deputy patriarch of the Coptic Catholic Church, praised Sīsī’s call and called it “sincere and democratic”.
Bishop Qultah wishes the number of demonstrators to exceed thirty millions, and he called for God‘s mercy on the martyrs and His Protection for all Egyptians.
