The three Churches are busily preparing a detailed memorandum on the proposed constitutional amendments, to be presented to the Constitutional Amendment Committee. The Coptic Orthodox Church proposed to amend Article 3 of the Constitution in order to ensure that non-Muslims may refer to their own religious codes, without predefining non-Muslins to be Christians and Jews, as is the case with the 2012 Constitution.
