According to the author, the terrorism and excessive violence that has been committed by the Muslim Brotherhood and its followers like the al-Jamā’ah al-Islāmīyahand Jihadist organizations on the Sinai prompted a group of rights organizations torecord the acts of violence that these organizations have committed and to add the Muslim Brotherhood to the list of terrorist organizations in Egypt and internationally (Peter Magdī, al-Tahrīr, Aug. 21, p. 7).
