The Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) protected the People of the Book (i.e. Jews, Christians, and Muslims) so protect them, and protect their houses of worship. Yet hands of destruction have reached Egypt’s churches, there is nothing for the Christians to do except commit themselves to the Bible’s commandments and love their enemies, bless those who curse them and do good to those who hate them and pray for those who wrong them (Ahmad Man’am and Muhammad ‘Alī Zīdān, al-Watan, Aug. 24, p. 10). Read original text in Arabic.
