It is usually a benefit that your house is next to the church that you attend, unless it is in al-Minya; here you are under continuous threat and in the range of Molotov cocktails.

Amīr Tādrus Orthodox Church and the Coptic school opposite the church were burnt on August 14 by unknown armed men from the Muslim Brotherhood who stormed a nearby apartment to use it as a platform to bombard the church with Molotov cocktails. According to residents, armed assailants stole the bodies of three saints from the Amīr Tādrus Orthodox Church, including the body of Amīr Tādrus himself, and they burnt the Bible as well as religious images.

The inhabitants stated that they are scared to leave to get the daily necessities, such as food and medicine and are too scared to directly accuse anyone of the attacks (Ahmad Man’am and Muhammad ‘Alī Zīdān, al-Watan, Aug. 24, p. 11). Read the original article online.
