U.S. Senators have submitted a new bill for better protection of Copts and other religious minority’s rights in Egypt and the Middle East (also known as the Special Envoy Bill).

Republican Senator, Roy Blunt, handed in the bill together with a number of other notable Congress members from both parties. He said, “The ongoing violence against Copts and other Egyptian citizens is very worrying. It violates the freedom of religion and the fundamental values the United States is built up on.”
