Inhabitants of several towns and villages of Minya live in fear after they discovered that the “x”-sign has been drawn on several stores belonging to Copts. The “x”-sign usually appeared on shops and pharmacies of Copts in Minya city before they were set on fire. Copts demand security protection of the marked stores. In Samālūt, for example, there is no police presence after the police station was burnt down.
