‘Amr Mūsá, President of the Constituent Assembly, visited Pope Tawadros II in his headquarters in St. Mark's Cathedral yesterday (Wednesday). The Pope demanded the abolition of Article 219 of the Constitution of 2012, which prescribes sharī’ah. The meeting lasted nearly 25 minutes. Bishop Bola, who represents the Coptic Orthodox Church in the Constituent Assembly, was attending.
