Girgis Sālih, the ceremonial head of the Middle Eastern Churches and a member of the Baīt al-‘Aīlah, stated that the Church and the Azhar have agreed to increase the number of the Azhar Shaykhs and the Churches’ priests who are taking part in the sessions of Baīt al-‘Aīlah. Under the title, “Shaykhs and Priests for Egypt,” the session will include 35 shaykhs and 30 priests from the three Coptic churches. He stated that the coming session will be held on the first of October in the Bishopric Church and will be attended by Bishop Jeremiah and will meet with the Minister of Endowments, Muhammad Mukhtār Jum’ah.
