Mahmūd 'Azab, advisor of  Grand Shaykh Ahmad al-Tayyīb of Al-Azhar said that houses of worship are holy. It was an act of barbarism and ignorance to storm a mosque or a church to damage it or to perform any other act there than an act of worship of God.
