Some teachers in al-Thaghr Preparatory School in the Village of Burj al-Burulus in Kafr al-Shaykh have enforced the hijāb (head veil) in the school. Those who refused to wear it were asked to transfer from the school. This led a number of parents to submit a complaint to the Education Department which promised to start an investigation into the case (Karam al-Qurashī, al-Watan, Sept. 25. p. 1).
