A popular delegation that included representatives of political factions, legal organizations, and Azhar scholars has visited Diljā accompanied by the governor of al-Minya, Salāh Ziyādah. He assured that the police control the security situation in the village with the assistance of the army. He also assured that the Copts that left the village left out of fear, not because they were forced to leave. He stated all the Christians who were evicted have returned to their houses. He announced that the youth council in the village will start increasing the awareness of the youth against terrorism and extremism and accepting others through seminars presented by politicians, Azhar Shaykhs and Church clergymen (Māhir ‘Abd al-Sabūr and Muhammad Alā’, al-Shurūq, Sept. 28, p. 6).
