Yāssir Burhāmī, Vice President of the Salafī Call, stated that the statement, “Religion is for God and Homeland for all” is religiously correct, conditionally. If what is meant is that religious actions have to be dedicated to God, but the homeland is vast enough to include Muslims and non-Muslims, then it is correct. He added that this means that even though some partners in the homeland may not be Muslim, this does not mean violating their rights or killing them or banishing them. However, if what is meant by this statement is that religion and politics should be separate, this is not religiously correct (Ahmad Badrāwy, al-Watan, Oct. 24, p. 5). Read original text in Arabic.
