Pope Tawadros refused to celebrate his 61^st birthday which coincides with his selection last year as the 118th pope.This was stated by Father Paul Halīm, spokesman for the Orthodox Church, who said that the Pope decided so in solidarity with the families of the victims of the Church of Warrāq. He also decided that the next Sunday, the anniversary of the first day of his papacy will be commemorated without celebrations, but only through a mass in the morning for a number of bishops.
