Yesterday morning in the Church of Virgin Mary and Archangel Michael in Warrāq, a mass was held to commemorate 40 days after the death of Warrāq martyrs who were killed on October 20 in a shooting while attending a wedding in the church. A number of bishops took part in the mass as Bishop Yuhanna and Yunas. Pope Tawadros stated during his weekly sermon that we remember them and we remember all our brothers who preceded us to heaven (Nagwá Bikhiyt, al-Dustūr, Dec. 1, p. 5). Read original text in Arabic.
