The Egyptian Committee for Justice and Peace organised a symposium at the Catholic Church in Asyut Governorate. The symposium addressed a number of issues, including: the need for interdependence between the political parties; al-Nūr Party initiative (which includes the formation of national coalition government, the appointment of a new Public Prosecutor, and the formation of a committee to amend a number of articles in the Constitution); the electoral law and how to organise the elections; the need to dismiss the Attorney General; the political future of the Asyut Governorate; the role of political parties in the near future; and finally, how to prepare for the upcoming elections.
