On the second anniversary of the January 25 Revolution, the Union of Coptic Organizations in Europe declared its full support and its rejection of what the declaration disclosed as "fascistic security measures" against the demonstrators and their demands. The declaration further states that the Union is filing an international lawsuit against the practices of the Egyptian President Muhammad Mursī in case he does not order his oppressive security instruments. Head of the Union Midhat Qilādah said that the International Conference scheduled for February 29, 2013 in Düsseldorf, Germany, shall condemn the "dictatorial" leadership’ that violates all rights and freedoms, abandons justice, and threatens society in Egypt.
The conference will include representatives of human rights organizations worldwide. The Union’s declaration condemns, further, that while the (Muslim) Brotherhood unleashed her armed Hāzimūn militias to implement terror acts threatening, thus, not only Egyptian’s sovereignty, but also anyone who revolts against them. The Muslim Brotherhood, who was banned during the former regimes, did not have to face such brutal acts as they currently exercise on the Egyptian people, according to the declaration. The Union also condemns the curfew imposed on the three Suez Canal Cities as a crime against the people of Port Said, instead of punishing the true criminals orchestrating the violent attacks on demonstrators. The condemnation verdict ruled against the alleged perpetrators of the massacre of Port Said of last year is another diversion from numerous crimes committed by the Muslim Brotherhood. However, so the declaration, people are aware of such deceptions. The Union of Coptic Organizations in Europe called on the Egyptians not to stop their demonstration as the current (Muslim Brotherhood) regime is practicing the same policies the ousted President Mubarak has implemented against his people and against which they bravely revolted.
