Reports that four individuals suspected of belonging to the Salafī movement attacked Iranian President Muhammad Ahmadinejad with shoes during his visit to the Husayn Mosque have been denied by the head of Iran's Interest Section in Egypt, Mojtaba Amani. Amani stated that the President had been welcomed by the Egyptian people and also denied reports of tensions surrounding a prospective meeting with representatives of the Egyptian opposition.
