Hundreds of Syrians living in Egypt held demonstrations yesterday outside the Fairmont Hotel to protest the visit of Iranian President Ahmadinejad, whom they describe as responsible for the murder of Syrian youth. Syrian activists and members of political Islamic movements also organized two protests outside the Office of Iranian Affairs in Duqqī. Iranian media said that Ahmadinejad had been angered and shocked by statements made by the Grand Shaykh of the Azhar in which he emphasized his rejection of Shī'ah uprisings in Sunnī countries (Ahmad ‘Alā' al-Dīn, al-Sabāh, Feb, 7, p. 3). Read original article in Arabic
