A number of Coptic coalitions and movements, on top of them the Maspero Youth Coalition, called for a million-man protest denouncing fitnah tā’ifīyah after the attack on Saint George Church in Sirsnā Village of al-Faiyum.

Mamdūh Ramzī, political activist and member of the Shūrá Council, called for a million-man protest demonstrating the repetitive attack on Copts.

Margaret ‘Azir, member of the Free Egyptians Party, for her part, said that any attack on sacred places, like mosques and churches, shows the absence of the law (Sarah Hāmid and ‘Abdullah Muftāh, al-Misrīyūn, Feb. 20, p. 3). Read original text in Arabic
