Al- Azhar has banned the American movie “Son of God” that presents the life of Jesus. It  has reiterated its fatwá (religious decree) to prohibit the embodiment of the prophets out of respect. Abāss Shūmān the Deputy of the Azhar stated that embodiment of prophets in cinematic works is religiously prohibited.
