Pope Tawadros yesterday in St. Bishoy’s Monastery (Dayr Al- Anba Bishoy) in Wadī al- Natrūn led a mass  commemorating Pope Shenouda’s death. Numerous bishops and priests took part in the mass. The pope stated in his speech that “Pope Shenouda’s body has left us but he will remain a landmark in the history of the Coptic Orthodox Church and in Egypt’s history.” He added that Pope Shenouda “gave us an example of the good shepherd that serves his people well” (Ashraf Sāddiq, al- Ahrām, March 18).  Read original text in Arabic.
