For the second week in a row, the Endowment Department in Minya failed to put the mosques of the Jamā’ah al- Islāmiyah under control. Last week this made Endowment Ministry officers file a complaint in the police station against Muhammad Yaqūb, a popular Salafī preacher. The same incident recurred this Friday in al- Rahmān al- Rahīm mosque in Abū Qurqās, the stronghold of the Muslim Brothers in Minya. The Jamā’ah al- Islāmiyah prevented the endowment officers from giving the sermon the Rahmān Mosque.  Members of the Nūr party in Minya stated that there is a plan to give a blow to the party before the parliamentary elections, and reiterated their refusal to the Ministry of Endowment officials to enter the Rahmān Mosque (Māhir Abd- al Sabūr, al- Shurūq, April 26, p. 4).
