The Ministry of Endowments has decided to suspend more than 15 imams and preachers, refer them to be investigated and transfer them from the posts in Cairo, Giza, Gharbia and Beni-Suef to other governorates due to their opposition to the results of the presidential elections, insulting state officials and violating the Ministry of Endowment’s rules. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtār Jum’ah, Minister of Endowments, issued a decision to remove all political content from mosque sermons (Wā’il Fāyiz, al- Watan, May 31,  p.3).
