Pope Tawadros has called for supporting the agonized churches in Syria and Iraq and working on bringing different churches of the world together. The pope stated during his meetings with Norwegian Church leaders that it is important to present service oriented projects such as hospitals  and development projects to help the children and poor. He also discussed the relationships between the different churches in the world (Girgis Fikrī, al- Shurūq, June 21, p. 2)
