President ‘Abd al- Fattāh al- Sīsī has assured that preparations are underway to carry out the parliamentary elections. He assured of the importance of the coming parliament and the wide powers that it shall have according to the constitution. He called upon everyone to take part and asserted the importance of choosing the members of parliament carefully.

Dr. Yūnus Makhyūn, head of the Nūr Party, stated that the hatred of the Egyptian people to the Muslim Brotherhood has been reflected on Hamas. He assured that as the Egyptian hatred to the Muslim Brotherhood increases, their hatred to Hamas will increase. He added that the issue in Palestine is not about Hamas, but rather, it’s the issue of a people being exterminated (Walīd Sarhān, al- Wafd, Aug. 8, p. 2)
