Al- Minya suffered the most from the terrorism of the Muslim Brotherhood members. Sabotage and destruction has reached its nine centers. More than 22 churches in Minya got targeted and 14 got completely destroyed after the dispersal of the Rāb’ah and Nahdah sit in dispersals on August 14. Bishop Makarios of Minya stated that the military engineering board is about to complete the first phase of the reconstruction of churches. ‘Imād Aziz the caretaker of the Amīr Tadros Church stated that the military board has checked the damages of the church and than a tripartite committee (including representatives of the church, military and governorate) has convened and agreed to the importance of rebuilding the church as soon as possible (Muhammad Sa’d et al, al- Akhbār, Aug 15, p. 4) (An article of the same content appeared in Watanī, Aug. 17, p. 8)
