Popular and security efforts succeeded in nipping a sectarian strife in the bud. This was between Copts and Muslims of Taybah Village in Samalūt, Minya. This took place after clashes between two families of which one is Muslim and the other is Christian. This led to the injury of 6 people and capturing 14 of both sides. A reconciliation session was held yesterday in the house of the Mayor of the village and both sides agreed to reconcile in front of the public prosecution (Māhir ‘Abd al- Sabbūr, al- Shurūq, Sep. 1, p. 4).
