Accusation of information exchange with Qatar: Mursi arrives in the court

The criminal court in Cairo is making its final statement on this case on this day. The accusations concern the misappropriation of reports by Mursi and other leadership figures and their intentional handing over to Qatari intelligence service and Al-Jazeera. The reports were authored by various Egyptian state institutions (e.g. Interior Ministry and the army) and contained sensitive information about the military as well as several public figures. Besides these allegations, Mursi faces other lawsuits, surrounding the killing of two demonstrators during the 2011 revolution, the storming of a prison and treaty negotiations with Hamas.
