Egypt criticises the Western connotation of human rights and condemns Islamophobia and its advocates: The United States and Sweden

Egyptian representatives raised the criticism during a human rights conference, stating that the hatred and racism towards Islam is a problem around the globe. In particular the political discourse in several Western countries, among them Sweden and Switzerland, becomes increasingly corrupted by widespread stereotypes against Muslims and other minorities.
