President Sīsī of Egypt greeted the Amir of Qatar at Sharm al-Shaykh’s airport after nearly two years of tension between the two countries following the removal of former President Mursī of the Muslim Brotherhood. The countries were at odds with one another for much of the last two years but appear to be drawing closer to one another as their interests in other spheres, including the crisis in Yemen, are beginning to align.
