Professor Matar: The average infection of the bone marrow manifests itself in individual between 20 and 30 years old

Professor Mirvat Matar, teacher of Blood Disorders at the University of Cairo, stated that the fibrosis of the bone marrow or of the spine is accompanied by a sense of fatigue and pain under the ribs and abdomen, along with bone pains and weight loss. She added during the celebration of the 8th World Day of Rare Diseases that there are no accurate statistics on the spreading rate of this disease in Egypt. She highlighted the importance of improving research in this field in order to facilitate early diagnoses since the average age of occurrence of the disease is between 20 and 30.
