Guardian: Activist Ghadīr Ahmad has launched the ‘female revolution’ in order to emancipate women

 British newspaper the Guardian has cited Ghadīr Ahmad as one of the most important female activists involved in the Arab revolution in the continent of Africa. In 2012, on the first anniversary of the January 25 revolution, she sparked the socio-political revolution of Egyptian women with the hash tag #femalerevolution on the social networking site Twitter.  Ahmad stresses that Egyptian women still suffer from unequal pay and also from political repression and sexual violence, both in the private and public spheres.
