The TV show “Masāʾ DMC”  presented by Ayman al-Ḥuṣarī, reported that a village belonging to the city of al-Ibrāhīmiyya in al-Sharqiyya governorate does not have a single school to serve the community. The lack of a proper village school forces parents to send their children to the local mosque, after converting some of its areas into classrooms.

The villagers said that the nearest school is located in another remote village, and that the pupils must travel a long distance in order to get there. In al-Ibrāhīmiyya all children must go to the mosque in order to learn.

One of the Coptic citizens of the village explained that he was sending his children to learn in the Mosque since there is no school in their village—knowing that all the children of the village are both Muslim and Christian
