The Coptic Orthodox Church is examining a new body bringing together the Cairo Bishops under the name of the ‘Cairo Bishop Council’ that would follow Pope Tawadros, according to anonymous Church sources. 
The Pope also stated that Egypt is confronting ferocious attacks by terrorists and that the situation is improving gradually. 
Fr. Bulus Halīm, spokesman of the CopticOrthdoxChurch, stated that Pope Tawadros decided to cancel the national unity iftār, that used to be held in the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in ‘Abāssiyah and give the money that was allocated to it to the poor instead.
