I would like to extend my congratulations on this occasion of ʿEid al-Fiṭr to all of our Muslim brothers who are celebrating in Egypt and across the world, praying to God for joy and peace in our country and for our people, as well as over the region and the rest of the world. Today, Coptic Christians in Egypt also celebrate the anniversary of one of the most important events we have witnessed, an event that made them the epicentre of the world’s attention and focus, which was the manifestation of the Virgin Mary on the domes of her church in the Zeitūn district on 2^nd April 1968, during the time of Pope Kyrollos VI (the 116^th Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church.)
