UN report: number of international migrants reaches 272 million

A new report from the United Nations revealed that the number of global migrants reached 272 million in 2019, a 51 million increase compared to numbers in 2010. According to recent estimates, international migrants now represent 3.5 percent of the global population, compared to 2.8 percent in 2000.
