At this year’s Arab Summit in Sharm el-Shaykh, signs of rapprochement began to appear between Egypt and Qatar. Recently, the two countries have been expected to begin a period of complete reconciliation. Mukhtār Nawh, a former leader in the Muslim Brotherhood, said that the ongoing reconciliation between Egypt and Qatar is a blow to the Muslim Brotherhood. He elaborated, saying that the reconciliation is taking place under the sponsorship or Saudi Arabia, which means that Qatar will inevitably start to take a more conciliatory approach toward its relationship with the Egyptian government and perhaps ends its protection of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
