Copts celebrate Palm Sunday in the middle of intense proceedings

As Copts prepare for Palm Sunday, heightened security measures will be implemented in churches near Cairo and in the provinces. Pope Tawadros II will visit the Monostary of Saint Pishoy in Wa̅di̅ al-Natu̅n for the celebration. Sources involved in ensuring the safety of church attendees say that the security for Palm Sunday will be a rehearsal for the measures to be taken during Easter celebrations.
