The Giza Criminal Court sentenced on Saturday three Al-Jazeera English reporters, Muhammad Fahmy, Australian journalist Greste (in absentia) and the Channel producer Baher Muhammad who was sentenced with extra six months, as well as three further convicts to three years in prison for working without press credentials, spreading false news and secretly working at the Marriott hotel in central Cairo without a permit. Two further convicts were released.
