In his interview with Al-Bawāba News, the Head of the MENA Division in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Muḥammad al-Nisūr stressed that the Arab countries have the impression that the human rights are a Western concept, and that there are certain Western agendas targeting the Arab societies and the Islamic values. He indicated that the human rights values are provided for in the principles of religion, particularly the values of equality.
