Job Opening at the Arab West Report

We have an immediate opening for the position of Senior Translator/Editor (Arabic to English and English to Arabic) at the Center for Intercultural Dialogue and Translation (CIDT) in Cairo, Egypt.
Egypt is going through an important transitional period. CIDT plays a role in this transition by
continuing to contribute accurate reporting and media monitoring, as well as developing peace-building projects that help build bridges between Muslims and Christians, both in Egypt and abroad.
We are looking for qualified applicants who are able to carry out the following tasks:
- Choosing relevant news and opinion articles from Egyptian newspapers to be translated, based on AWR selection criteria.
- Translating and editing news reports and opinion articles from Arabic to English and English to Arabic, and publishing these on our website.
- Producing daily media overviews, while making links to previous reports as needed.
- Recruiting and supervising qualified translation interns and freelance translators to support the translation work in our office.
